Holly Black released the book trailer for her third book in the Curse Workers series, Black Heart. I really liked White Cat and Red Glove a lot, so April 3rd just can't come fast enough! I'm just not sure that I am feeling the new cover designs:
The old covers really make me want to listen to some Black Keys or White Stripes. I think it is the whole red/black/white color scheme with the slightly quirky and dark sensibility and aesthetic that they all share. I really hope that there is a Black Heart to match, because look at these! The 80s Lite-Brite thing the new covers have going on just doesn't feel right to me.
In other trailery news, Lionsgate recently released a second trailer for The Hunger Games. It seriously made me run the gamut of emotions. At first I was furiously thinking INACCURATE!!! They are really going to change the back-story of the Mockingjay pin? On of the most important symbols in the book? But by the end I was feeling all weepy. Cinna, Prim, Gale, Rue, ahhh! It packs quite an emotional punch for those of us who have read the books!
