With three and a half hours to go until my time is up, I'm going to have to call it quits and go to bed! (I get to go watch my amazing and wonderful and brilliant baby brother graduate with a second college degree tomorrow afternoon, and I want to be awake enough to appreciate that!) It has been a lot of fun, and I ended up salvaging more reading time than I expected to with all the things that popped up this weekend. I am just surprised I finished so few books in that reading time (a tired reader is a slow reader I guess.) Some lessons learned for next year:
- Don't start out already tired from a long weekend!
- Have a back-up babysitter in case the primary has something come up.
- Have a better mix of genre's available to read to keep things interesting.
- Take more time for the socializing (and, if possible, start on the first half of the available time) so that I feel more a part of a group than like I'm going alone.
After finishing Yesterday by C.K. Kelly Martin my stats are as follows:
Number of Books Read: 6
Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake
13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson
Long Lankin by Lindsey Barraclough
On the Day I Died: Stories from the Grave by Candace Fleming
Whispering To Witches by Anna Dale

Pages Read: 1751
Hours Reading: 20 hours 35 minutes
Time Writing: 2 hour 40 minutes

So I will round that up to 24 hours for the purposes of donating to Reading is Fundamental, and donate $24 -- one dollar for each hour I participated.
